Thank you to these brave volunteers who NEVER hesitate when emergencies happen.

The Lake Louise area is serviced by an incredible team of volunteer emergency medical personnel.  Should you encounter an emergency while at Lake Louise, follow these steps:

If you have access to a radio, call on Channel 11 (VHF) and broadcast that you have an emergency situation. (“First response…first response…I have an emergency…do you copy?”)  Repeat your message every ten seconds until someone responds to you.  Follow their instructions and help will be sent out.

If you have access to a cellular phone, call a Lake Louise First Responder by call order on the list.   DO NOT CALL 911 UNLESS YOU CANNOT GET THROUGH TO ONE OF THE LOCAL PEOPLE.  Calling 911 will delay assistance because they will have to contact the Lake Louise First Responders to dispatch help.
